Return Samples

Tensile Testing Metallurgical Laboratory retains samples and remnants for a minimum of 30 days and then they are destroyed unless otherwise requested with the following exceptions:

• Nadcap samples and remnants are kept for 6 months.
• Failure Analysis samples and remnants are returned with the report.
•  Nuclear Disposition Form -Nuclear samples are returned 30 days after testing unless the Nuclear Disposition Form is filled out.
•  Return Sample Request Form -Customer needs to fill out the Return Sample Request Form if they require the sample to be returned.
  

PLEASE NOTE: 

Samples are usually returned UPS Ground unless otherwise noted. A shipping and handling fee is applied on the invoice for returned samples (Minimum $10.00). If you supply a UPS or Federal Express number there is usually no handling charges assessed.

Please state whether you need samples (the tested pieces) or remnant or both returned.

If you require a truck, please arrange for the shipping, send us a copy of the manifest, and notify Client Services when to expect the transportation so that your pieces will be ready to load.
